fun with LINQ”

LINQ is one of the coolest additions into
C# languages since the beginning of its existence. While it might appear
very easy at first glance, there is a fairly complex mechanism behind it,
requiring both C# and .NET Framework libraries extensions.
The session will concentrate purely on
LINQ and C# 3.0 relevant features and will consist of three parts:

During
the first part, we will dissect LINQ and understand what syntactic sugar
and framework extensions are involved with bringing LINQ to life.

The
second part of the session will be devoted to LINQ to SQL - first OR/M
from Microsoft.

Lastly,
we’ll have a deep dive into LINQ features, and explain major operators,
like GroupBy, Join, Take
and others.
·
Keeping in mind that many developers are
already using LINQ, the session will be lead by feedback from the
audience, and emphasis will be given on issues of more interest.
Most of the session’s time will be spent
on live demos, so please be prepared to see a lot of VS 2008.
